Watching the Goslings at Duck Pond
For my Father
Five downy goslings float out to the center of Duck Pond paddling about their guardians, shepherded to the depths and dodging broken branches — some leafed, some bare — each navigates a fountain that sends crystal spray, arced, conical, slapping into the dappled surface, Hunter’s Green. I allow the ants safe passage over my body.
